The Quill™ device is available in a complete range of absorbable and nonabsorbable materials and configurations including Monoderm™, PDO, Nylon and Polypropylene.

Monoderm™

(glycolide and e-caprolactone)

This synthetic absorbable monofilament has excellent pliability and handling characteristics. At 7 days it retains 64 - 76% tensile strength, 40% at 14 days and is essentially absorbed at 90 days. These characteristics make it very popular for subcuticular closure and soft tissue approximation. Available in undyed/clear or violet.

Polydioxanone (PDO)

This synthetic absorbable monofilament has excellent flexibility and strength but is distinguished from other suture material by its long absorption time. It is commonly used in Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedics, and Gynecologic Surgeries. Available in violet.
